Make-A-Wish fulfills 5-year-old’s dream of becoming Batman, turns San Francisco into Gotham City

Miles is a “sunny, positive little boy” who is currently battling leukemia, but will soon be battling villains throughout San Francisco. On November 15 with the help of the Make-A-Wish foundation, the Bay area will be turned into Gotham City, with thousands of volunteers lending a hand to help the tiny super hero thwart big bad guys, SF Gate reported.

Miles has a fun-filled day ahead of him. Not only will he have his very own grownup sidekick, but the miniature Batman will also receive a call from the police chief and respond to calls of his most worthy adversaries, including the Riddler and Penguin, in his very own Batmobile.

Make-A-Wish Bay Area already has the itinerary all lined up:

“After rescuing a damsel in distress from the cable car tracks in Nob Hill, and capturing the Riddler in the act of robbing a downtown vault, Batman will eat his lunch at the Burger Bar in San Francisco – directly above Union Square. While at Burger Bar, he will get a call on his Batphone to go the window – where he will look down and see a huge group of volunteers jumping up and down asking for Batman’s help. Why?

“Because the Penguin will be kidnapping a famous Gotham City mascot! The getaway car will be visible on Union Square (a convertible so that everyone can se what is happening), and the chase will be one!

“After catching the Penguin, Batman will make his final stop at City Hall, where the Mayor and the Police Chief of Gotham City will thank him and give him the key to the city. We plan on having hundreds of volunteers and donors collected to cheer and thank our Batman!”

We wish Miles the best and hope that with his fighting spirit, he can conquer not only the Riddler and Penguin, but leukemia as well.
