House Bill 281, sponsored by Rep. Blake Miguez, removes vague language in Louisiana’s existing preemption statute to prevent a patchwork of laws throughout the state that could potentially and unknowingly turn a law-abiding gun owner into a criminal. It is important to note that this bill does not change the places that are currently prohibited under state law.

Again, please contact members of the Senate Judiciary B Committee and urge them to SUPPORT pro-gun preemption legislation, House Bill 281.
