LAPD searching for suspect who tagged cop’s horse (VIDEO)

A four-legged member of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Mounted Platoon was targeted for tagging at Venice Beach last week. Authorities are searching for the person responsible for spray painting the letters “RBS” with silver paint on the back end of the horse named Charly.

The incident occurred Tuesday while the officer and his horse were working crime-suppression detail.

Resident Robert Kendall called the act cruel and disrespectful.

“It’s bad for the animals, and it’s just people who want to mess with the status quo, and I think it’s pretty awful.”

Mark Stegall, who called the incident unfortunate, agreed.

“But people love to tag things in Venice,” Stegall added. “So really, I guess a horse is just the next step.”
