What do you get when you spend over two years creating a visually stunning three minute trailer for an epic sci-fi movie that doesn’t exist? You get Keloid – a dystopian thriller that pits strangely humanistic, Kriss Vector toting mechs against the remnants of a battle hardened humanity.
The Verge reported that Director J.J. Palomo and his team from Barcelona’s Big Lazy Robot have created Keloid from the ground up. And while the storyline may not be evident, it certainly leaves you hoping the project gets turned into a full-length film.
The man behind the stellar artwork is Aaron Beck, who worked on District 9 as well as Avatar, so it’s pretty safe to say he knows what he’s doing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this three minute “spec film” has already gained momentum, as well as the favor of IAM Entertainment, who is in talks about turning the piece into a feature film.
