John McCain: ‘Controversial’ Stand Your Ground Laws ‘need to be reviewed’ (VIDEO)

State of the Union host Candy Crowley talked with Arizona Senator John McCain on Sunday morning about the George Zimmerman verdict and the president’s inclination that Stand Your Ground laws need to be reconsidered.

Referring to whether or not Trayvon Martin was given justice through the trial, Crowley asked McCain, “You understand how it could be seen, as the President talked about, through a prism of the history of injustice?”

“Absolutely, I can see that,” McCain replied. “I can also see that the Stand Your Ground law may be something that needs to be reviewed by the Florida legislature or any other legislature that has passed such legislation.”

Crowley pressed the issue. “Do you think the Stand Your Ground in Arizona is worth looking at again?” she asked.

“Yes I do. I’m confident that the members of the Arizona legislature will, because it is a very controversial legislation,” McCain answered.
