Columbus, GA -(Ammoland.com)- Jim Shockey, an avid outdoorsman with a passion for the extreme, is debuting an all-new action-packed TV series on Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV.
Titled “Jim Shockey’s UNCHARTED,” each one-hour episode chronicles the remote and dangerous destinations that the world-renowned outfitter and his crew explore, all in the name of adventure.
Produced by Shockey’s son Branlin, who captures both the beauty and rigorous surroundings on video, “UNCHARTED” offers audiences a glimpse into the excitement of hunts across faraway locations, such as the formidable mountain ranges of Kyrgystan. The physical agility and mental dexterity of Shockey and his fellow thrill-seeking traveler, Corey Knowlton, are put to the test as they tackle some element of risk on their journeys.
Even the much-revered Shockey has his doubts on treks through Papua New Guinea, the Arctic, the Northwest Rainforests of Canada, and beyond. Nevertheless, his affinity for the untamed outdoors shines through, as does his passion for cultural exploration and discovery.
Shockey has lived many lives as a wildlife photographer/videographer, a wilderness guide and an outfitter for the last two decades. The conservationist’s exploits have taken him to 40 countries and on six continents; including the wilds of the Yukon territory, the Sierra Madres of Mexico, the Kalahari Desert in Namibia, and the Australian Outback. But, “UNCHARTED” turns his experiences up a notch, challenging Shockey’s comfort level and leaving the viewer to question whether he and his team should have turned around when they had the chance.
