In the wake of the possible hijacking of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, Israel has tightened its airspace security and is preparing for a possible terror attack.
On March 8, flight MH370 mysteriously disappeared. As investigators continued to sort out the details, Israeli officials and aviation authorities held a security assessment conference to determine how to best secure Israeli airspace, Times of Israel reports.
El-Al’s former global security chief believes Iran is responsible for the flight’s disappearance. While security in Israel was already tight, airliners must now identify themselves much further out before they enter Israeli airspace.
Though 11 nations are currently searching for the aircraft it has yet to be recovered.
