Infographic of the day: breakdown of mass shootings by gun used, age, race

According to data collected by Mother Jones, the majority of weapons used in mass shootings in the last 30 years have been legally owned.
The Washington Post compiled the data to create a visual representation of the firearms used in mass shootings from 1984 to today. In total there were 22 shotguns, 23 revolvers, 29 rifles and 77 semiautomatic handguns.
Below is a chart that breaks down the shooters’ mental status at the time the shootings were committed.
This chart breaks down how many victims were fatally shot and wounded during the shootings.
