Important Michigan Primary Election, Are You Registered to Vote?

Michigan – -(Ammoland.com)- Michigan Coalition For Responsible Gun Owners instructors have certified thousands of new concealed pistol license holders since the last election. Along with obtaining your Concealed Pisol License, we want to make sure you do something just as important – register to vote!

The deadline to register to vote in order to participate in the Tuesday, August 7, 2018 Michigan  primary election is Monday, July 9 2018. If you are not already registered to vote, you can do so HERE. If you believe you are already registered to vote, you can verify your voter registration, find your polling place, and view your primary ballot HERE.

Because only 30 of 148 Michigan legislative districts are considered competitive between political parties, most district representation is effectively decided in the August primary election rather than the November general election.

It is very important that you review candidates for the August primary and consider their views on self-defense and firearms issues. MCRGO-PAC will release legislative and gubernatorial primary candidate ratings on Monday, July 2 2018 in order to accommodate absentee voters. NRA members should also review NRA-ILA ratings for candidates for state and national offices.
