MINNETONKA, MN; (Ammoland.Com) — Some say opening deer weekend is the most exciting weekend of the year – but Melissa Bachman of Winchester Deadly Passion would argue opening spring turkey season is a close second.

“In the spring, there is nothing else I’d rather be doing than turkey hunting,” said Bachman. “Unfortunately during open weekend it stormed and really messed up our set-up from the day before. But as soon as the sky cleared, turkeys were in our decoy spread!”
Bachman was able to get one turkey down that first morning and was on to full-filling her second tag, except a longbeard gave her some trouble. Tune in to Winchester Deadly Passion on Sportsman Channel to see if fills that second tag – or eats tag soup.
