Roseville, CA -(AmmoLand.com)- The Handgun Roster is a thorn in the side of all California gun owners.

Before you go to buy a handgun, you probably check the list on the AG’s website and find that the gun you really want to purchase isn’t allowed in the state because of a plethora of reasons, with one of the most common being that the manufacturer IMPROVED the design of the gun by adding extra safety features or taking out a design flaw.

That’s right, if a gun manufacturer listens to complaints of customers and redesigns their gun, it can no longer be sold in the state of California.

That’s why FPC has teamed up with Assembly member Devon Mathis (R-Visalia) in introducing AB 2508.

>> HELP US PASS AB 2508

While we would love to use a magic wand and get rid of the handgun roster in its entirety, that just isn’t something that can happen through the Legislature. Our partner, the Calguns Foundation, is working on a lawsuit to do just that.

But in the meantime, AB 2508 will at least fix the problem of handguns that are improved because of safety concerns and consumer complaints being removed from the Roster.

AB 2508 will allow handguns to be reinstated to California’s diminishing Handgun Roster if it did not fail a safety test, allowing the handgun manufacturer to make necessary improvements based on customer feedback and safety concerns.

RESTORE GUNS TO THE HANDGUN ROSTER

While it is only a step in the right direction, it is the direction that gun rights needs to be moving in. Instead of just opposing the multitude of anti-gun bills introduced, we will also be pushing to restore the rights that have been taken away from you.

AB 2508 helps to restore some of those rights.

Please help us pass AB 2508 by signing the petition and please consider joining FPC or making a donation in order to ensure we have the resources to fight to pass this bill into law.
