GunTalkTV’s Tom Gresham Named Gun Rights Defender of the Year
Phoenix, Arizona — The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) has named Tom Gresham Gun Rights Defender of the Year, recognizing decades of work supporting the Second Amendment. The award was presented at the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Phoenix, AZ.
A 40-year veteran of the firearms industry, Gresham was surprised and appreciative to receive this award, “This means a lot, coming from the Citizens Committee,” said Gresham. “It’s especially meaningful in light of what appears to be an uncertain future for gun rights, depending on the outcome of this Presidential election.”
Tom Gresham has been called a media pioneer in the firearms industry. He created and hosts the only national radio talk show about guns, “Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk,” reaching millions of listeners each week.
He is also the host and creator of the first television show about self protection, Personal Defense TV, which airs on The Sportsman Channel, Pursuit, and FOX Sports. He created a team of 10,000 volunteers, called the “Gun Talk Truth Squad,” who challenge media misstatements about guns and gun owners. His latest project, Gun Talk TV, located at www.guntalk.tv, is the first online video resource for gun training, created to make it easy for anyone to get into the shooting sports.
Alan Gottlieb, founder of CCRKBA, said, “Tom has been a leader in this movement for two decades, fighting for our rights directly, but for millions of Americans — whether gun owners or not — his is the face of responsible firearms ownership. We were delighted to present him with this award.”
Also this year, Gresham worked with Smith and Wesson to create the commemorative D.C. v. Heller revolver to acknowledge the landmark Supreme Court decision and help raise money for further legal action to defend the Second Amendment.
