Leading firearms industry news website Guns.com recently appointed Chris Carlberg as Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Carlberg will work with the company’s senior leadership in developing ongoing business initiatives.

With more than 20 years in the gun industry, Carlberg brings a broad range of experience and knowledge to Guns.com. He will be a central figure for building strategic partnerships.

“I am truly honored to be part of the team here at Guns.com. For 23 years, I have had the privilege of being in an industry I have a real passion for,” Carlberg said. “Hunting and shooting sports are a big part of my life. I am looking forward to applying what I have learned about the needs of the consumer, store buyer and manufacturer to help Guns.com continue to grow.”

Before joining Guns.com, Carlberg directed business development with leading outdoor and shooting sports wholesaler Bill Hicks & Co., where he started as a sales executive in 1995. He also served on the Board of Directors at the Minnesota-based Sportsman’s Club from 2008 to 2013.

“Bringing Carlberg on board was the first step Guns.com made in the reorganization of our publication. The leadership needed to succeed with our goals at hand could only be possible with Carlberg’s experiences and passion for firearms,” said Chris Callahan, Guns.com founder and publisher. “We couldn’t be more pleased to have such a quality team member and person leading our organization.”
