GunDealio is the latest app to hit the smartphone market, designed to provide a mobile marketing platform for local gun retailers.

The app uses geo-location to reach users, alerting them to the latest discounts and deals on firearms and accessories, events and product news from manufacturers. The marketing power can now be used on a local level to reach consumers within a retailer’s specific region, allowing gun store owners to add personalized messages or ads, announce sales and new products and advertise in-house events and promotions. The app achieves this by designating a “customer zone.” This zone is a 20-mile radius around the partner location by which the app sends customized messages to users within that area.

Creators say mobile marketing generates foot traffic in-store and nearly 70 percent of that is due to marketing from a mobile device.

“The most important piece of the marketing puzzle is sales,” Gun Talk Media’s VP of Sales and Marketing Ryan Gresham said in a press release. “Retail activation at stores through geotargeting and mobile messaging can help close the sales loop.”

He added, “With over 100,000 users, and growing, GunDealio has proved mutually beneficial to buyers and gun sellers. Companies in the gun industry have found GunDealio as a useful way to reach consumers at the point of sale, the gun store.”

The app is available in the Google Play store as well as Apple’s App Store.
