Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie, Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn, Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Heiss, and Livingston Country Sheriff Steve Cox are all saying “they won’t enforce any laws that they feel go against the Constitution.”

All four have made it clear there are enough gun laws on the books, and that the Obama administration will be overreaching if they try to put more in place.

Sheriffs Heiss and Cox have even gone so far as to sign and send a letter to Obama expressing their concerns:

I am writing to you to express my concern with the tone of your administration with respect to the Second Amendment rights of American citizens. It appears to me and many Americans that there is a genuine desire on the part of your administration to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law abiding American citizens in the interest of curbing gun violence in our nation.

Any attempt to restrict these Second Amendment rights through executive orders is unconstitutional and tantamount to an all out assault on the United States Constitution. Just as the Fourth Amendment…guarantees our citizens the right to be secure in the persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable search and seizure, the Second Amendment guarantees each of us the right to keep and bear arms.

These Missouri Sheriffs are the latest to join with others like Linn Country Oregon Sheriff Tim Mueller and Jackson County Kentucky Sheriff Denny Peyman, both of whom have made it abundantly clear that any new gun control laws are DOA in their counties as well.

Men like our Founding Fathers made us free, men like these Sheriffs are keeping us that way. Patriots all.
