Florida –-(Ammoland.com)- To follow up on the article from the Orlando Sentinel regarding the legal action against Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for lifting the silencer ban on rifles and pistols for hunting, ( found here but behind paywall https://tiny.cc/vapcqx).

I think you will find this interesting.

It appears clear that the League of Women Voters is actually behind the action against Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for lifting the silencer ban that would greatly improve hunter hearing safety.

They have been using Christopher Byrd, the lawyer who filed the petition, to hold workshops on the topic of hunters using silencers and damaging the environment.

On the Orange County League’s website they summon people to one such event by declaring “Let’s start standing up to reckless gun enthusiasts. It’s time we say enough is enough! ”    Read about it here:  https://lwvoc.org/events/event/break-the-silence-protect-the-woodlands/

Further, the Plaintiff, Chuck O’Neal, is on the Board of Directors of the Florida League of Women Voters is the chair of  the Natural Resources Committees of both the Florida League of Women Voters and the League of Women Voters/Orange County.

Read his bio on the Florida League of Women Voters website:

In addition to the Florida League of Women Voters holding workshops with Attorney Christopher Byrd aimed at stopping pro-gun and pro-hunting regulations and lead plaintiff, Chuck O’Neal, being on their Board and chairing the “Natural Resources Committees”.

I’m also informed that:

Peri Sedigh is a law school student and animal rights activist who has been vocal in her opposition to hunting and what she terms as “animal slavery” at Sea World and circuses.

And that Timothy “Tim” Orrange, Jr. is a frequent commenter on environmental issues and a vocal advocate for expanded gun control.

It seems they are all working together to roll back gun safety and put hunter hearing at greater risk.
