If you’ve stepped into a grocery store lately you’ll notice Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Most people are content with a gift of roses, champagne or chocolate, but they are so ordinary. Go above and beyond to impress the gun lover in your life with these five clever gifts.

1. Battle Mug – $189
From condiment guns to ammunition shaped mugs — even tactical corkscrews — there are a plethora of gun-themed gifts to choose from. How can you choose the right one? That depends on who you are buying it for and how much money you are willing to spend.
While the Battle Mug is on the expensive side, it’s built to military specifications from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and you can customize the mug with any M4 accessories, such as a carrying handle, thanks to its M1913 rail interface system. It’s made in America and can hold up to 24 ounces of chilled liquid. You might even be able to take this to work, since it’s not in the shape of a gun. If this gift is out of your price range or too impractical, gift number four might be right up your alley.

2. Ammunition – $300+
I have never heard of a gun owner complaining about having too much ammunition. Instead of handing someone a plain box of ammunition, spruce it up a bit by hiding it in a heart shaped tin.
In a 12.45 ounce tin I fit 19 pounds of 9mm ammunition; approximately 800 rounds. If you really wanted to go all out, you could try and fit a gun in there as well. Personally, having guns and ammunition in the same container makes me a bit nervous, but it’s sure to impress the recipient. Another idea is to put two magazines in the center instead of a gun.

3. Gun jewelry – varies by material
Search for gun jewelry on Etsy and it will return a lot of unique results for necklaces and earrings. Many of Etsy’s sellers will custom make pieces for customers. The only limitation is your bank account.
The only issue I have with this type of gifts is how often you can wear them. If you are giving them to an individual that attends or works at a school, you might need to reconsider. They would be great for a night on the town though. Also, if you are crafty and good with your hands, you could use bullet casings to create necklaces, bracelets or whatever else your creative mind can think of.

4. Chocolate Molds – $6.95
I love gifts that serve dual purposes. I also love chocolate, so when I saw Century’s Custom Molded PAP Rifle Ice Cube Tray, I automatically thought of using it as a chocolate mold.
You can either buy this product and give it as a gift, or you can buy the product and make multiple gifts. I chose to make chocolate AKs, because what would Valentine’s Day be without chocolate? Additionally, you can say you gave away a handful of AKs on Valentine’s Day. Nevertheless, keep in mind that giving these gifts in the workplace or school might not be the best option.
5. Chocolate Ammunition – $10
If you are as bad at using a mold as I am, you might want to check out Chocolate Ammo. They sell chocolate novelty gifts alongside chocolate making kits. Not known for giving up, I tried my hand at making some .50-caliber chocolate ammo. I think the ammo came out better than the AKs, because they were more round.

Out of all the products from Chocolate Ammo, I would want to receive .50-caliber chocolates so I could announce I was about to have some .50-caliber fun time before every bite. Although, if you wanted to get creative you could buy the shotgun shell molds and put different fillings in them to create different types of shot. Rice krispies could be snake shot, chopped almonds could be birdshot and a glob of peanut butter could serve as slugs.
