Firing ‘gear drive’ shotgun slugs using sockets as a mold (VIDEO)

Using a 5/8″ socket as a mold for a custom one-ounce rifles lead slug, the Taofledermaus crew went to work.

The experimental gear drive slug was made by a viewer who poured molten lead into the slug, then gave it a point on a lathe and countersunk the base to create a very neat looking projectile the Tao gang was just itching to try out.

How does it work? Watch the vid.

*Warning: There is gummy bear violence.
