Federal Premium Ammunition gives small game hunters one more option in the field with the introduction of the Hunter Match 22 Long Rifle ammunition, the latest in its rimfire lineup.

The new 40 grain load, geared towards small game and varmint hunters, aims to provide shooters true long-range accuracy matched with outstanding terminal effectiveness. The ammo features a hollow-point lead bullet that has been fine-tuned by Federal Premium engineers for better penetration and expansion out to 100 yards.

The high-velocity, match grade loading also provides flat trajectories and energy so small targets can be efficiently downed. A nickel-plated case provides seamless extraction while shooting, aiming to eliminate annoying malfunctions in the field. The nickel-plated casing also intends to inhibit corrosion during storage.

Federal Premium said boxes of the 40 grain, HP Hunter Match 22 Long Rifle ammo are currently being delivered to dealers with a MSRP of $7.95 for a 50-count box.
