Fans Raise $122K For Family of Slain Singer Christina Grimmie

In two days, friends and fans of Christina Grimmie raised nearly $122,000 through a fundraiser for Grimmie’s family.

The 22-year-old singer, who previously appeared on the TV show The Voice, was fatally shot by a deranged fan Friday night as she signed autographs following a concert in Orlando. The suspect then turned the gun on himself. Both died as a result of their injuries.

A Go Fund Me account was set up by Brian Teefey, Grimmie’s manager and stepfather to Selena Gomez. The campaign was to raise money for Grimmie’s family, and while it only had a goal of $4,000, donations have long-since exceeded the goal.
