Drunk woman cited for DWI after cutting off police cruiser

Lindsey Fruge

A 28-year-old woman is facing a few charges after she ran a stop sign and cut off a police cruiser in Thibodaux, La., Wednesday morning just after 2 a.m., prompting the officer to pull her over – after slamming on his breaks to avoid hitting her – and subsequently issue a field sobriety test, which she failed miserably.

Lindsey Fruge was found to have a blood alcohol content of .228, nearly three times the legal limit. She was arrested and charged for driving while intoxicated, violation of a stop sign and driving with no driver’s license. It was Fruge’s second DWI.
