Customer takes down ‘armed’ man trying to rob pharmacy of prescription drugs (VIDEO)

A masked man armed with nothing but a finger gun tried robbing a Florida pharmacy Sunday, but was taken down by a do-gooding customer.

Freddie F. Johnson, 65, donned a mask and walked into a CVS pharmacy in Sarasota. He made his hand in the shape of a gun and stuck it in his pocket, demanding Oxycodone and Hydromorphone pills. But Jaanus Jurisoo saw through the guise and sprung into action, thwarting the robbery, The Blaze reports.

Jurisoo detained the suspect until police arrived, and while Sarasota Police Captain Patrick Robinson commended Jurisoo for helping apprehend Johnson, he doesn’t recommend citizens try to intervene.

“Although we applaud the actions of Mr. Jurisoo in bringing this suspect to custody, we do not encourage or recommend that members of the public take matters into their own hands when they observe a crime,” Robinson said.
