BIGFORK, Mont. –-(Ammoland.com)- Conservation Hawks, the new organization working to defend America’s sporting heritage and pass on a healthy natural world to future generations, is hosting a web photo contest.

Hunters and anglers are encouraged to upload original photos and captions that illustrate why we love to hunt or fish and why it’s so important to pass on a healthy natural world to our kids and grandkids.

The contest began Feb. 8 and will run until March 21, 2012 on the Conservation Hawks Facebook page. The 10 photos receiving the most Facebook “Likes” will be eligible to win outdoor clothing and gear, including an Orvis fly rod, a Sitka hunting jacket, Patagonia waders, Costa sunglasses, a RIO fly line and an Orvis hunting coat. A panel of judges will select the top six entries, including the first place winner.

According to Conservations Hawks Chairman Todd Tanner, the photo competition is “an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to hunters and anglers all over America as we defend our country’s sporting traditions.”

Conservation Hawks thanks Orvis, Sitka Gear, Patagonia, Costa Del Mar and RIO for their ongoing commitment to conservation and for donating the prizes for the photo contest.

Contest rules and instructions are available on the Conservation Hawks website.
