Congressional candidate takes aim, shoots down ‘government drone’ in new ad (VIDEO)

Montana Republican House candidate Matt Rosendale takes aim and shoots down a “government drone” in his new campaign ad.

Rosendale isn’t a fan of “Big Brother” and “government overreach,” so to emphasize his point he tells his audience how he “feels about government drones.”

“The federal government is too big and to powerful,” Rosendale says in his ad. “More taxes and regulations put Montana families out of work. Spying on our citizens – that’s just wrong… I’m ready to stand tall for freedom and get Washington out of our lives.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, shooting down a drown is currently illegal.

“A [drone] hit by gunfire could crash, causing damage to persons or property on the ground, or it could collide with other objects in the air,” the agency said. “Shooting at an unmanned aircraft could result in criminal or civil liability, just as would firing at manned airplane.”

But those guidelines didn’t stop Rosendale from expressing his opinions. And the Montana native has more than just drones in his crosshair, he also has a House seat in his sights.
