Apparently CNN aired all of George Zimmerman’s personal information on national television yesterday during a live broadcast. The slip-up included Zimmerman’s full social security number, home address, and phone number.
“Get that down, get that down,” could be heard by an unnamed person in the court. Followed by, “Oh my god. How can I clear it?” from the prosecuting attorney.
CNN later issued a statement explaining their big goof:
“Routinely the evidence is first given to the Court Clerk for redaction, and that didn’t happen in this instance. The Court is circling back to attorneys on both sides to make sure they give the Clerk’s office the opportunity to redact the necessary information.”
