Fort Worth, TX –-(Ammoland.com)- 3-Gun Nation is proud to announce it has reached an agreement with Cheaper Than Dirt! to sponsor Lady and Junior 3GN Shoot-Offs at the 2011 FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Championship, Presented by SureFire.

The winning Lady and Junior competitors will each win a check for $5,000 from Cheaper Than Dirt!

“We’re always happy to be able to support the shooting sports in any way possible, and we’re even more excited to help encourage new shooters by sponsoring the 3-Gun Nation Junior division,” said Michael Tenny, CEO, Cheaper Than Dirt!

“Faced with political pressure to ban the importation of the competition shotguns that have made 3-gun into the sport it is today, I think it’s critical that we as an industry pull together to support all of the shooting sports in any way we can.”

The top Lady and Junior competitors, who have shot in a minimum of three 3GN-affiliated matches, will be invited to compete in the FNH-USA 3GN Championships, Presented by SureFire, Nov. 10-12 in Glengary, W.V. In total, there will be 10 opportunities to earn 3GN Series points during the 2011 3GN Tour.

“Fostering increased participation is vital to the well being of the shooting sports,” said Chad Adams, Vice President, National 3-Gun Association.

“As 3GN continues to grow, we’re going keep adding additional prizes and platforms to entice more shooters to get into the sport of 3-gun. Not only will that make the sport stronger, but it will go a long way towards making shooting, in general, a more accepted part of American society.”

Junior and Lady competitors will earn 3GN points to qualify for the Lady and Junior Shoot-Offs just as they do in the overall 3GN point standings. Complete rules and information will be posted soon on www.3gunnation.com.
