In the position of Vice President of Manufacturing for the global firearms brand, Calvin’s responsibilities include leading the manufacturing team to convert steel, brass, composites and select-grade walnut into legendary Weatherby rifles, shotguns and premium ammunition.
Calvin will manage and develop Weatherby’s factory employees while integrating key functional support departments and supply chain partners. He will also continuously improve safety, quality, delivery and cost performance to meet corporate goals and customer expectations with an effective manufacturing strategy of lean manufacturing and process development.

Prior to joining Weatherby, Charles Calvin was the Vice President of Manufacturing at Leatherman Tool Group in Portland, Ore. Calvin’s prior experience in the outdoor-recreation and consumer industries is an asset in his new position at Weatherby.

Charles Calvin earned his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and Masters of Manufacturing Engineering degrees at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, respectively. He is a proud member of the Association of Manufacturing Excellence.
