At the insistence of our readers, we moseyed on by the ArmaLite booth to drool over their latest brainchild, the AR-50 A1 platform of 50 BMG rifles. Nathan Brinkmeyer, chief engineer and designer on these long-range wonders, was kind enough to walk us through both the AR-50 A1 and a new National Match model (with a longer barrel and a match chamber). Frankly we’re at a loss for words; it doesn’t get much sexier.
