Black Aces Tactical unveils new $199 Po’ Boy AR15 suppressor (VIDEO)

The Florida-based company best known for their innovative shotguns has a full-auto capable AR suppressor that won’t go select-fire on your wallet.

Announced last week, the Po’ Boy is a hattip to Black Aces’ CEO Eric Lemoine’s Louisiana roots and is the company’s first entry into the rapidly expanding silencer and suppressor market. Eight-inches long, the direct thread Po’ Boy uses a reinforced straight stack baffle system and is constructed of a 4130 Chromoly tube with a 316 stainless interior, which gives it a 25-ounce weight.

“For years, the suppressor industry has been producing an increasingly complex and costly product with little change in performance,” said Lemoine, in a release. “We were confident we could manufacture a simple yet rugged product that meets and surpasses expectations while being affordable for gun owners.”

The company says the can is capable of “sustained” full auto fire on both 16- and 12-inch barrels as well as being fully user serviceable with an endcap that takes an  AR15 stock wrench.

But how mush hush do you get at the $199 level? Using Mil 1474D standard testing done besides a Bruel and Kjaer 2209 with 4136 microphone in the above video, the Lemoine and the gang show it off at 134-139dB when attached to an AR-15 over a 10-shot string.
