Iowa –-(Ammoland.com)- Big Springs Shooting Range – Iowa’s Premier Shooting Experience – will host renowned bird dog trainer Ronnie Smith for a one-day dog training demonstration seminar, May 17, 2014, at the state-of-the-art shooting facility in Searsboro, IA.

Smith will demonstrate the Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced levels of his dog training system, and give advice and tips on how to train and prepare bird dogs for the field.

“Everything we do is for a reason,” said Ronnie Smith. “We use a very structured, stepped system that ends with a solid foundation, and no confusion for the dog.”

Participants are asked to leave their dogs at home. Smith will accept a few local dogs to work as examples during the seminar; interested owners should contact him at 918-783-5400.

“We are very excited to host this sort of event,” said Big Springs Manager Kelly Bryan. “It’s the first one of its kind at Big Springs, and the Smiths are known all over the world for their dogs and training.”

Registration for the seminar is $300, and is now open. To register, or for more information, contact Big Springs Shooting Range at 641-623-8511.
