Behar as Ignorant of Constitutional Government as She Is of Guns

“Joy” is hardly a word a rational person would use to describe a government that can forcibly impose its will on the populace by surprise, the type of person who would propose that, or the clueless airheads cheering her on. (The View/Facebook photo)

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- Proving once more that gun-grabbers who claim no one is talking about taking your guns are liars, “The View” co-host Joy Behar said on Monday’s program that politicians should not only confiscate guns but should do it by surprise.

“His stance on gun buybacks, Mayor Pete said it was a shiny object to distract from achievable gun reform,” Meghan McCain noted in a discussion of Beto O’Rourke dropping out of the presidential race. “Chris Coons said it wasn’t a wise policy or move, and that clip will be played for years at Second Amendment rallies with organizations that try to scare people by saying the Democrats are coming for your guns.”

Organizations don’t need to try and scare people. All gun owners need do is listen to the words of Democrats and understand that “gun control” and “commonsense gun safety laws” are euphemisms for citizen disarmament. And Behar was quick to make just that point:

“They should not tell everything they’re going to do. Like if you’re going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected — then take the guns away. Don’t tell them ahead of time.”

The audience, of course, no more wary of a government of unlimited and lawless power than Behar, burst into applause. Think about what that means, because it’s a cinch they won’t.

There’s evidently no need for checks and balances. The executive can spring a surprise revocation of key Bill of Rights mandates without legislation or court cases, or if any action does take place on those fronts, they should be kept a secret from the American people.

And then come the “Surprise!” raids – what could go wrong?  Does this bloody-minded harpy or her even more vacuous “fans” have any idea what she is calling for? Probably not. Magical “thinking” just requires wishing something were so. When that morphs into expectation for forceful actions against those who not only don’t agree but will push back when provoked, it becomes pathological.

This is the very definition of tyranny and a key reason why we have the Second Amendment-recognized right to keep and bear arms. This is undisguised totalitarianism, and the gaggle of useful idiot harridans on “The View,” and their even less informed and more moronic audience, are clueless to the historical genocidal danger such unchecked power has always unleashed. Hell, they demand it because of “feelings.” This is a disgusting convergence of media influencers and citizenship malpractice that has no place in rational political discourse and even less of a place in enforceable law.

I have to admit, never having watched the show in full, it exceeded expectations for puerile leftist bitchiness (assuming Democrats will let me say that). How anyone can subject themselves to even one complete viewing, let alone immerse themselves in such media ordure on a regular basis, is beyond me.  If this is the state of most American women (and we would be remiss not to note some gushing “progressive males” among the “fans”), this country’s foreign enemies have to be heartened and emboldened, and eager for their domestic counterparts to hurry things along.
