BRISTOL, Tenn. – Perhaps no other race on the NASCAR circuit brings the excitement of the sport and family fun together quite like the Bristol Night Race. It’s Bristol Baby, and Bass Pro Shops is bringing race fans plenty of action on and off the track during the Bass Pro Shops/NRA Night Race Week at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS).

A special paint scheme on Martin Truex, Jr.’s No. 78 Toyota Camry and Ryan Newman’s No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will commemorate the continuing partnership between Ducks Unlimited and Bass Pro Shops. Noted conservationist and Bass Pro Shops founder/CEO Johnny Morris is donating space on the race cars to Ducks Unlimited (DU)–the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to conserving North America’s waterfowl habitat.

Morris also donated funds to the construction of the Ducks Unlimited National Waterfowling Heritage Center, a free wetlands and waterfowl conservation museum, inside the iconic Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee.

Truex will drive the No. 78 Bass Pro Shops/TRACKER Boats Ducks Unlimited Toyota and Newman will drive the No. 31 Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Chevrolet under the lights at BMS in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Bass Pro Shops/NRA Night Race 500-lap event Saturday, August 18.
In addition, Ty Dillon will pilot the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s in the Food City 300 at BMS Friday, August 17. Bass Pro Shops is a primary sponsor of Richard Childress Racing’s No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Ty Dillon and Austin Dillon in the NASCAR XFINITY Cup Series.
Bass Pro Shops is proud to sponsor this annual race with the National Rifle Association (NRA).The NRA National Sporting Arms Museum is located at Bass Pro Shops national headquarters’ iconic “Grandaddy” store in Springfield, Missouri. The free 7,500-square-foot museum celebrates the history of hunting, conservation and freedom. Visitors can see nearly a thousand historically significant firearms and numerous other artifacts including 16 original painting masterpieces on loan from Remington Arms Company.

Fun at Outdoor Days
In addition to racing action, plenty of fun options exist around and off the track at BMS. Trackside, families can visit outdoor displays and exhibits such as the NRA Shooting Experience, the Shoot Like A Girl Interactive Trailer, the Bass Bounce and a turtle viewing pool. The whole family will enjoy participating in activities like archery, kayaking, catch and release pond and an inflatable casting range.

Driver Appearance
The Bass Pro Shops in Bristol, Tennessee will host Martin Truex, Jr., Austin Dillon, Ryan Newman and Clint Bowyer on Thursday, August 16. Newman and Dillon will be signing at noon and Truex, Jr. and Bowyer at 6 p.m. The store will also offer the exciting King of Bucks trailer and is the prime spot to view the Hauler Parade lineup which will begin at 3 p.m ET.

Special Ticket Pricing
Now until August 15, Bass Pro Shops is offering special ticket pricing for Bristol racing enthusiasts. Adult tickets are $60 each, tax included and child tickets are $10 each (15 years and younger), tax included. Tickets may be purchased online at www.basspro.com.
