Arizona- -(Ammoland.com)-Hunters who wish to apply for the 2015 Arizona pronghorn antelope and elk hunt draw can now do so online.

The online application service is now available for pronghorn antelope and elk hunt permit-tags issued through the draw process by visiting https://az.gov/azgfd/draw/home.xhtml (scroll down to the “Apply for a Draw” link).

Applying online is fast and easy. The online process prompts you to complete your form accurately, dramatically reducing your chance of making errors that could result in a rejected application. While the online process is quick, officials at the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) remind applicants not to wait until the last minute to apply.

“The deadline for submitting draw applications is Feb. 10, 2015, by 7 p.m. (MST), and by applying now, you can avoid the last-minute rush,” said Debbie Rittenback, AZGFD revenue unit supervisor. “Applying now eliminates the worry and frustration of waiting ‘til the last minute.”

Only VISA and MasterCard are accepted for draw applications submitted online. No charges for the cost of the hunt permit-tag will be posted to your account unless and until you are drawn. Online applicants must still pay the non-refundable $13 application fee for Arizona residents and $15 for non-residents. This fee is charged as part of the application process for both online and paper applications. A portion of these fees is dedicated to habitat, public access and recruitment/retention efforts.

The online draw application service works with these browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. Safari users may want to upgrade to the latest version of the OS and Safari browser because some problems have been reported with older Safari versions. This application service does not work with mobile devices such as iPad, iPhone or other Smartphones at this time.

For hunters who don’t wish to use the online service, paper draw applications may be submitted either by mail to Arizona Game and Fish Department, Attn: Drawing Section, PO Box 74020, Phoenix, AZ 85087-1052, or they can be hand-delivered to any of the seven Game and Fish offices located in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa and Phoenix.

The 2015 Pronghorn Antelope and Elk Hunt Draw Information booklet and application forms are available at Game and Fish offices, at license dealers, and online.

A valid Arizona hunting license or combination hunting/fishing license is required to apply for the draw. Because all licenses (other than the short-term license) are valid for 365 days, please check the dates on your license to make sure your license is valid as of the deadline day for the draw. Also remember that you’ll need to have a valid license when you are in the field for your hunt. Licenses can be purchased online, at Arizona Game and Fish Department offices, or at more than 300 authorized license dealers around the state. They also can be purchased through the draw process when applying for the draw.
