Apex Tactical Specialties looks to serve up consistency with the release of its new Failure Resistant Extractor designed for the Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0
The Failure Resistant Extractor for the M.20, like its predecessor created for the original M&P, was created in order to promote consistent and reliable extraction of brass cartridges. Apex said the device employed wire EDM to machine “critical engagement surfaces and hook geometry.”

“The result is tolerance variation that is an order of magnitude smaller than using conventional machining techniques,” Apex said in a press release. “This allows for a drop-in part that will function with the reliability you have come to expect from any part bearing the Apex name.”
The Failure Resistant Extractor works alongside all current Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 models — with or without thumb safeties and magazine disconnects — and is easy to install. Featuring a MSRP of $45.95, the Failure Resistant Extractor is available now from Apex Tactical Specialties.
