Across the Arab-speaking world word has got out that the Syrian Army captured al-Qaeda-affiliate leader Abu Mohammad al-Jawlani at a checkpoint.

Disguised as a woman, he shaved his beard, did his eyebrows and even put on lipstick before donning a niqab and other women’s clothes. He was fleeing to Lebanon.

“He shaved his beard, worked his eyebrows, and put on mascara and lipstick till he looked exactly like a woman,” reports the Algemeiner.

Al-Jawlani was the purported leader of the of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra, or “Victory” Front.
