She said she knows it isn’t right and she doesn’t want to feel this way, but a former Miss Alabama said she can’t shake the feeling that the Dallas cop killer was a martyr.
“I don’t feel sad for the officers who lost their lives,” said Kalyn Chapman James, Miss Alabama 1993, in the tear-filled two minute video she posted to Facebook.
“I value human life. And I want to feel sad for them but I can’t help but feeling like the shooter was a martyr,” she said.
James added she wasn’t surprised by what happened in Dallas. She said she doesn’t condone violence, but she’s torn up over seeing black men “gunned down in our community” and she’s sick, sad and hurt by it.
