These premium-grade boots are constructed using select hippo hide for the uppers with every pair as unique as the serial number it bares. The suede leather incorporated into Hippo Safari boot has a texture similar to elephant but is much softer to the touch and is finished in a rich brown color. These boots are made entirely by hand in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
One key component to the Hippo Safari boot’s incredible durability is the fabrication of their soles on an 80 ton hydraulic press using a rubber formulation that has taken years of development to perfect. In temperate climates, people appreciate the all-leather, unlined uppers of their footwear as it breathes and wicks moisture away from the feet, helping prevent blisters.
The Hippo Safari boot has a casual cleat sole, which is ideal for office use or a night on the town.
