95-year-old WWII vet, POW honored at Purple Heart ceremony over 70 years later

Earl “Bo” Cline

Although he received a Purple Heart – along with other medals – after returning home from World War II, 2LT Earl “Bo” Cline, who is now 95-years-old, never received a proper ceremony recognizing his efforts. Until last week, that is.

With the help of Purple Hearts Reunited, Cline, who was wounded on December 23, 1944 and spent seven months as a Prisoner of War, was respectfully – and officially – honored in a ceremony in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
