Canyon County, ID -(AmmoLand.com)- The Idaho Second Amendment Alliance was heavily involved in 4 races across the state where candidates had voted against or made statements that were anti-2nd Amendment.

The ISAA did its best to compare each candidate in these races and where they stood on the 2nd Amendment.

In the northern Idaho race in District 5, Carl Berglund defeated anti-2nd Amendment candidate Bill Goesling.  Bill Goesling, a State Board of Education member voted against Campus Carry back in 2014 as a board member. In addition to his bad vote, he also failed to return the ISAA survey.  Mr. Berglund won 53% to 47%.

In the southern Idaho race of District 23, Christy Zito defeated 7 term incumbent Rep. Rich Wills.  Rich Wills had voted against this years gun bill, Senate Bill 1389 (Const. Carry).  He also failed to return our survey. He was defeated 55% to 45%.

In the southeastern Idaho race of District 35, Karey Hanks defeated 1 term incumbent Rep. Paul Romrell.  Rep. Romrell returned our survey and informed us he would consider a ban on high capacity magazines.  An opinion that proved to be unpopular with his voters.  He was defeated in a tight race 52% to 48%.

In another southern Idaho race of District 25, anti-2nd Amendment Representative Maxine Bell defeated Reggy Sternes 69% to 31%.  She will now serve her 15th term in the Idaho House.  She has voted against Campus Carry, Constitutional Carry, and also returned our survey with other anti-2nd Amendment answers.

That means 3 of the 4 races the ISAA was educating voters in, candidates who were against the 2nd Amendment lost their races.

It is clear that Idahoans soundly rejected anti-2nd Amendment candidates across the state and sent them packing.

The ISAA works very hard to ensure people are informed of where their candidates stand on 2nd Amendment issues.

We want to thank all of you who took time to help us educate voters. We want to thank those who donated money to help make our advertising and educational process possible.

Idaho doesn’t need more anti-2nd Amendment legislators.  We need a lot less of them. It may be time for more pro-gun candidates to step up to the plate and be a part of the solution.

As we prepare for the general election there are several key races that the ISAA is looking into.  Please help fund that effort by DONATING TODAY!

$500, $250, or even $100 will go a long way to helping fund more of our successful efforts on the ground across the state.

Go to www.idahosaa.org/donate today and do your part to keep Idaho the great pro-2A state it is!
