MINNETONKA, MN (Ammoland.Com) — What does it take to self-film while in a treestand or ground blind? “Self-filming truly is an art as it is absolutely difficult when you are the hunter and cameraman combined – it changes everything about how you approach the hunt and during the hunt itself,” admitted Bachman. She gives plenty of tips and strategies on self-filming from using a solid camera arm set-up – if in a treestand – to utilizing decoys to bring bucks closer. “Plus, I also keep a second, smaller, camera on me to catch my reactions. Lately I’ve been using the Garmin VIRB on my bow, which is also connected to my heart rate. Its really cool seeing how your heart rate goes from a resting beat to madly reacting to buck fever,” she excitedly concluded.
Don’t miss all of Bachman’s tips, including what is the single best thing to do in field to give the highest chance of success.
This week’s Memory Chase video is Preston Gardner, a 9-year-old from Louisiana, hunting whitetails and a coyote in Illinois.
