Suspects tie up woman, then leave after realizing they are in the ‘wrong apartment’ (VIDEO)

A woman in Hartford, Connecticut, is lucky to come away from a home invasion unscathed after the suspects realized the apartment where she lived was not actually the unit they intended to target.

The woman, who has not been publicly identified said just before 9:00 p.m. Saturday she heard a knock at the door. When she went to see who it was, five men armed with guns forced their way into the apartment. The suspects instructed the woman to get on the ground before tying her up, but shortly after that, according to the woman, one of the men said something about being at the wrong apartment. Soon thereafter, the suspects left, but not before seizing the opportunity to take the woman’s cell phone.

The woman was not injured and the incident remains under investigation.
