USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Somewhere, everyday in the USA, 2100+ people use a gun for self defense, to stop a crime or save the lives of themselves or their family.
“We believe that the American public deserve to understand that on the average, guns save 2,191 lives and are used to thwart crimes every day,” says Alan Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation
Most times you won’t see these tales on the news as it does not fit the main stream media’s story line of “Guns and Gun Owners are Bad“.
This is just one of those stories;
A man entered a Metro PCS store in Jacksonville, Fla., drew a gun, and attempted to rob the establishment. A store employee responded to the threat by retrieving a gun and shooting the robber.
The employee Joyner money, then pulled his own gun, pushed the suspect’s gun to the side and fired at him, the report said. The employee told police the two exchanged gunfire and the suspect fell, but got up and left the store. The robber returned fire and fled the scene.
There is no indication that any employee was harmed during the incident.
Police captured the armed robber when he sought treatment for his gunshot wound at an emergency room. (WJXT, Jacksonville, Fla. 04/11/16)
