The Scholastic Shooting Sports Federation now accepts applications from qualified 2019 Scholastic Clay Target Program and Scholastic Action Shooting Program athletes for the SSSF All Scholastic Team.
The All Scholastic Team celebrates achievements of youth athletes both on and off the range. The program recognizes junior competitors for their accomplishments in shooting and competitions, in school and in their own communities. To be considered, SSSF says applicants must be in good standing with SCTP or SASP and hold a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Additionally, students must meet a shooting qualification, achieving one of the following between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019:
- SCTP skeet or trap — hit 190/200 target
- SCTP bunker trap, international skeet or international double traps —hit 110/125 targets
- SCTP sporting clays — hit 170/200 targets
- SASP — earned a total match score of 75 seconds or less in a SASP match
Students interested in applying must supply official school transcripts and proof of shooting record in addition to two letters of recommendation from a coach, teacher or other adult. A photograph is also required for publication. For more information or to apply, youth shooters can visit the SSSF’s All Scholastic Team page.
