Smith & Wesson’s M&P Shield chambered in .45 Auto is getting the laser treatment as the company announced a new model featuring a Crimson Trace laser system. The integrated laser is available in red or green and is designed for concealed carry enthusiasts looking to pack the punch of .45 with the functionality of a laser set-up.
“An ideal choice for those looking for a concealed carry firearm in a larger caliber, the new M&P45 Shield M2.0 pistol builds off of the proven M&P Shield M2.0 pistol series, providing confidence and reliable performance, day or night, in a slim, lightweight, and easy-to-carry profile,” Smith & Wesson said in a news release.
The .45 Auto Shield features the same attributes as the standard Shield including a low-profile style and 18-degree grip angle. Boasting a 3.3-inch barrel, the Shield M2.0 offers a crisp trigger paired with an aggressive texture on the pistol frame.
The red laser M&P45 Shield M2.0 model delivers a price tag of $499 while the green laser variant is priced at $549.
