Outdoor Wire – -(AmmoLand.com)- Premiers the first of its digital network expansion at SHOT Show 2009. Throughout 2009, the Outdoor, Fishing, Shooting, Women’s, Tactical, and Dealer wires will be integrating new web and remote informational services to help readers keep abreast of outdoor news regardless of their location. Additionally, two new services, Where to Fish Next and Where to Hunt Next will also be introduced into The Outdoor Wire Digital Network.

The first new expansion is The Shepherd Report, exclusive twice-daily video reports spotlighting new products from SHOT Show 2009, the outdoor industry’s largest trade-only event. The exclusive video reports will be delivered directly to all wire subscribers; then posted on other popular video services for viewing by the general public.

The two daily editions will be hosted by Outdoor Wire publisher and veteran television journalist Jim Shepherd and include special reports from Women’s Outdoor Wire Associate Editor Erica Shepherd. The reports will also feature specific industry insights from wire editors Paul Erhardt, Rich Grassi and Tammy Sapp as the Outdoor Wire teams cover SHOT Show for the Dealer, Tactical and Women’s wires, respectively.

“We’ve worked quietly to get The Outdoor Wires to the point we were ready to expand,” said Jim Shepherd. “Our digital network will extend the information services our readers have come to expect. The Shepherd Report from SHOT will give our subscribers the first looks at products they’ve come to expect from us – but in a more dynamic medium.”

“We’ll be literally taking our more than 400,000 subscribers down onto the show floor,” said Shepherd, “there, we’ll be interviewing company representatives in their booths and getting hands-on demos of the latest and greatest products.”

And the industry reception so far? “Amazing,” he said, “we have already completely filled one day’s production schedule, and only a few companies have even heard about the project.”

“These new reports are only part of our integrating the various wires into the Outdoor Wire Digital Network,” Shepherd said, “with new features including blogs and other web-based services in addition to RSS and other news delivery options, we’re expanding to keep the promise I made to readers nearly seven years ago -we’ll keep you posted.”

Interested companies can contact either Jim Shepherd (jim@theoutdoorwire) or Dealer Wire editor and coordinating producer Paul Erhardt (info@thedealerwire.com) to book the remaining interview opportunities.
