Salt Lake City, UT -(AmmoLand.com)- The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) and Heartland Bowhunter (HB) television show, now in its eighth season on the Outdoor Channel, have signed a partnership for the 2015 season.

The partnership involves cross promoting on several platforms to promote mule deer conservation across the west to the HB audience as well as participating in the 2016 MDF National Convention held at the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo this February.

While based out of Missouri, hosts Shawn Luchtel and Mike Hunsucker and the Heartland crew spent time in three western states hunting mule deer and elk in 2014. Their “Western Tour” allowed for some great productions for their 2015 episodes that share their bow hunting experiences and the new techniques learned along the way.

“Being able to share our passion for western hunting and especially the mule deer with our audience is a blessing. Being part of an organization like the Mule Deer Foundation gives us the opportunity to give back to the conservation of the species,” said Hunsucker.

During their time hunting the large expansive western country, the HB crew became fond of hunting mule deer so the tie to MDF became natural. Luchtel and Hunsucker joined MDF at their national convention this past February where they hosted a seminar on DIY mule deer hunting in the high country and shot a few archery demos throughout the event.

“Our partnership with Heartland Bowhunter allows MDF to promote the work we are doing for the conservation of mule deer and other wildlife in the West,” commented MDF President and CEO, Miles Moretti.
