FL Bill Denies Due Process & Forces Confiscation, Gov Says He will Veto Pro Gun Parts

This is our last chance to stop SB 7026 from going to the Governor, who threatens line item veto of pro-gun provisions in the bill!

Nevadans' Second Amendment Rights are at Risk in 2016!
FL Bill Denies Due Process & Forces Confiscation, Gov Says He will Veto Pro Gun Parts

Florida – -(Ammoland.com)- Today, the Florida Senate passed a bill that was designed to appease the gun control lobby.

SB 7026 will deny law-abiding gun owners due process of law, and force the confiscation of firearms parts and accessories which are owned lawfully today by many Floridians, creating hundreds if not thousands of INSTANT FELONS!

Many legislators who opposed the bill today, did so because they wanted the bill to strip you of even more of your rights; only a few legislators stood tall today to protect you from an unconstitutional attack on your rights.

What is happening right now in your Florida Legislature is as complicated as it gets. This horrible bill is the result of combining a pro-gun bill which would have allowed school employees to be armed in voluntary programs implemented by individual school boards and designed by local law enforcement, and a pure gun-control bill which would have banned “assault weapons”, impose universal background checks, etc. – literally the litany of so-called “reasonable” restrictions.

The result is a bill that both puts guns on school campuses, which is a non-starter for anti-gun proponents and imposes unconstitutional and arbitrary restrictions on an enumerated right, which is a non-starter for pro-gun advocates. Among the gun-hater’s warnings is a $400-million price tag to implement all the bill provisions.

But the $400,000,000 proposal put forth by anti-gun legislators does far less to save lives than the $1,000,000 proposal advocated by Florida Carry and FASTER to train teachers in trauma first aid and the defense of their classrooms. We are working to educate educators and legislators but can’t do so without your help. Contact your FL House reps today and tell them that we need solutions that will save lives without turning gun owners in to criminals.
