WEST POINT, MS –-(Ammoland.com)- Federal Ammunition recently teamed with Mossy Oak on a new product that has ties to the camouflage company’s “THUGS” TV productions.
Similar to the Federal Turkey THUGS line of shotshells, the concept for new Federal Deer THUGS rifle ammunition started with a TV show.
The program, “Deer THUGS” airs on the Pursuit Channel Monday nights at 9 p.m. (EST) and features five hunters who make their living hunting and guiding for whitetails.

line, sold exclusively at Walmart, includes loads in nine calibers: 243 Win., 25-06 Rem., 270 Win., 7mm Rem. Magnum, 30-30 Win., 308 Win., 30-06 Spring., 300 WSM and 300 Win. Magnum. The .243, .25-06 and 7mm each have one bullet offering, the .270 and .30-30 have two, and the .308, .30-06 and .300s include three. The bullet in these cartridges offers exceptional accuracy. It is also made using a proprietary plating process that results in high weight retention and expansion. The cartridges are packaged in a box printed with Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity camouflage and the Deer THUGS logo. It’s a perfect option for the avid whitetail hunter.
In addition to providing hunters a reliable, deadly bullet, the Deer THUGS line helps supports a noble cause. THUG is actually an acronym: Today’s Hunters United for Good. All of the products licensed under the name, including the TV show, provide support for wounded veterans. A portion of the proceeds from each box of Deer THUGS ammunition goes to the Outdoor Recreation Heritage Fund, which was created by the Paralyzed Veterans of America, a service organization devoted to helping veterans with spinal cord injuries or dysfunctions. The fund provides opportunities to paralyzed veterans to participate in hunting trips and recreational shooting, as well as supports fishing, handcycling, triathlon and track-and-field activities.
