Extreme road rage: The moment a man pulls a gun on another driver (VIDEO)

An Indiana man was arrested after road rage got the best of him, having pointed a gun and allegedly shooting through his passenger side window at another driver.

According to WKYT-TV, David Kollar was driving on 1-75 near exit 97 in Kentucky on Sunday when he spotted a black sedan driving erratically. Looking to capture some evidence, Kollar filmed the reckless driver, later identified as 51-year-old Perrin Dobyns, pulling up next him on the freeway, and that’s when things got worse.

“I was concerned for everyone’s safety. I could get his plate and report it to police and let them follow up on it. I didn’t expect to get shot at in the process,” Kollar told WKYT.

Dobyns, overcome with road rage, aimed at Kollar, and allegedly fired.

When Kollar pulled alongside the other vehicle, Dobyns, rolled down the passenger side window, pointed a gun, and allegedly fired.

“You can see all of this happen in front of you and it’s like, wow, that could have been it,” Kollar said.

Dobyns was later arrested at the Branchville Correctional Facility, where he worked at the time. WKYT reported Dobyns was taken to Perry County jail and charged with a felon of first-degree wanton endangerment.

“Road rage can be a very dangerous situation,” Kentucky State Police Trooper Robert Purdy told WLEX-TV. “What is uncommon in this case is it escalated where someone allegedly fired a pistol.”
