Investigators combed through a bizarre scene in a New Orleans neighborhood Friday night after a car crashed into a house. The bodies of Tory Sanders, 35, and Byron Price, 26, were found in the front of the vehicle and both had been fatally shot.

Evidence suggests that the driver of the vehicle crashed into the house following an exchange of gunfire during an apparent drug deal went wrong. From inside the car, police recovered two .40-caliber handguns – one Smith & Wesson and one Glock, which was reported stolen in March – as well as several spent shell casings and projectiles. Investigators also found a “substantial amount” of marijuana.

Both men had prior drug charges.
